A Fancy Flea? Who Knew?

The Fancy Flea is a vintage home and garden market set up in the middle of beautiful downtown  Lakeland. It only happens twice a year and my friend Courtney and I have made it a tradition to attend together. It's like being on a treasure hunt with sensory overload. There is so much to see, and this time there were even MORE vendors! My husband brought the kids and joined us for a bit before our girly lunch. The kids had a blast bouncing on bounce houses in the park, drinking fresh squeezed lemonade, and helping me pick out produce! Courtney found a variety of goodies to finish up her little cutie's nursery, and I bought the adorable orange bag shown above. We had lunch outside at Fresco's Bakery, and ran into many fun friends! How was your weekend? Any highlights?

Today required a quick outfit pick. I did not plan ahead, so I found myself scrambling. I realize it appears as if I failed to iron also. You will have to forgive me, as my little girl had a dentist appointment first thing this morning and did NOT do well. The wrinkles are from cuddling with her. The anesthesia made her very sick to her tummy. She's sleeping soundly now, allowing time for this quick post. In my opinion when in a rush, bright colors and denim do the trick every time. What's your go to rush look?

What a beautiful DAY! We had a cool breeze here in our otherwise Florida hot box. It made me feel cheery enough to wear bright colors and enjoy taking some photos outside. Happy Monday to you!

Okay so I didn't run away. Well...maybe a little bit. I went on a cruise with 30 of my most fabulous friends. Upon my return, I have experienced vertigo...which has put a kink in my everyday plans. I did rally long enough to go to our local museum's fashion show featuring beautiful clothing from Neiman Marcus. In awe as usual, I found it hard not to drool as the models walked by. Mostly neutral tones, but fun pops of color here and there as well. Red bottom shoes made a special appearance and did not disappoint! I did miss the live band that typically plays, and the outdoor lounge area was such a nice touch in the past! I also prefer the pod style modeling in this type of environment so that you can ask questions about the clothes, designers, etc. BUT overall, I can't complain...once again, the labels came to little ol' Lakeland and that's good enough for me!

Such a beautiful Easter Sunday!!! How blessed I feel today, and how thankful I am for a Savior who loves me enough to die for my sins. I am so thankful for His grace, he never gives up on us!!!

Helped my fabulous friend today with a presentation for the Antique Club

So what have I been up to since I obviously have not been blogging??? Tennis! My brother surprised my sweet mom and I with tickets to the Sony Ericsson Open this past weekend in Key Biscayne, Miami. It was BEAUTIFUL! He even topped it off with tickets to the Hospitality Terrace. We saw the women's and men's finals, along with the men's doubles. I even took my mom on her first tour of South Beach. She was totally overwhelmed...hee hee! She thinks I am silly for worrying with fashion and accessories as you can see, she sported my dad's Columbia shirt! You have to love her! Today I helped my friend Courtney with a presentation at a local Antique Club meeting. She did amazing and her tips for adding vintage flare to modern wardrobe had the ladies super excited! Hopefully she will be styling some of their closets soon! Hope everyone survived this manic Monday, have a GREAT week!  :)

Sorry for my lack of posting lately, if you see my previous post, you will understand. New puppy had us fooled for a few days but the past few have been a nightmare. It's like having a baby all over again. My 10 year old can help, but when she is at school....and I am trying to work from home, it's ALL me! So needless to say, I have been a little swamped. I love how a bright clutch adds to a somewhat otherwise boring outfit such as this. As we get closer to our Florida summertime, I like to add interest to my looks without adding more clothing. I hope everyone is having a great week!

Sometimes I complain about not having enough work at my PR firm, Crescendo. I am constantly thinking of ways to get more clients, more work, and generate more income. But lately, I am learning contentment. Maybe God is protecting me from becoming too busy while my littles are little. Otherwise, I wouldn't have time to take them on day trips, and spend time with them that I will never get back. I am reminded to be thankful for the work I do have, and cherish the time I am allowed to share with the most important people in my life! :)

Early Spring Break

We played hooky for a few days to celebrate an early spring break. This was all due to my husband's inability to read the fine print on the Groupon he purchased for the Nickelodeon Hotel. BUT I have to say it was great! The kids and I had a blast together, (in between the pure moments of insanity and them trying to push me over the edge.) HA! On our last day we hit the Prime Outlets International, and Downtown Disney for the finale! What have you been up to this week?

Although not super fabulously fashionable, stretchy pants are GREAT! Now, don't get me wrong....you can dress them up, but today I chose comfort over fabulous. I took the kids to a play date at the children's museum and needed to be a little flexible if you know what I mean! This outfit did it's job, and as a mom,  I'm okay with that!
