Sorry for my lack of posting lately, if you see my previous post, you will understand. New puppy had us fooled for a few days but the past few have been a nightmare. It's like having a baby all over again. My 10 year old can help, but when she is at school....and I am trying to work from home, it's ALL me! So needless to say, I have been a little swamped. I love how a bright clutch adds to a somewhat otherwise boring outfit such as this. As we get closer to our Florida summertime, I like to add interest to my looks without adding more clothing. I hope everyone is having a great week!

Sometimes I complain about not having enough work at my PR firm, Crescendo. I am constantly thinking of ways to get more clients, more work, and generate more income. But lately, I am learning contentment. Maybe God is protecting me from becoming too busy while my littles are little. Otherwise, I wouldn't have time to take them on day trips, and spend time with them that I will never get back. I am reminded to be thankful for the work I do have, and cherish the time I am allowed to share with the most important people in my life! :)

Early Spring Break

We played hooky for a few days to celebrate an early spring break. This was all due to my husband's inability to read the fine print on the Groupon he purchased for the Nickelodeon Hotel. BUT I have to say it was great! The kids and I had a blast together, (in between the pure moments of insanity and them trying to push me over the edge.) HA! On our last day we hit the Prime Outlets International, and Downtown Disney for the finale! What have you been up to this week?

Although not super fabulously fashionable, stretchy pants are GREAT! Now, don't get me wrong....you can dress them up, but today I chose comfort over fabulous. I took the kids to a play date at the children's museum and needed to be a little flexible if you know what I mean! This outfit did it's job, and as a mom,  I'm okay with that!

This week has gone no slower than the rest, and I apologize for the lackluster outfit picture. It's bad when you don't even have time to set up the tripod! Well, I started my weekend off by ditching work Friday and spending a day at the beach with my friend. A nice run, followed by lettuce wraps and these delicious no bake energy bites, but I made mine with craisins and raisins instead of the chocolate chips. They really are yummy. Saturday was great. We watched our daughter's soccer game and enjoyed a yummy cuban sandwich and soup from one of our local favorites. Sunday was church, a nap, and Secret Keeper Girl LIVE with my daughter. So blessed to have that time with her, what an amazing event and such a great way for mom and daughter to connect! I know she left with the promise that GOD is her King...and she is His princess. It is unbelievable what labels young girls are struggling with. I am so thankful for events such as these to open the doors of communication. With so many lies in the world, it is our job to teach them the truth. That is so important to me!! So what did you do this weekend???

Today, I am Teacher!

Yes, today I am teacher...as in I played the role of teacher in a commercial for an associate of mine. My daughter got to tag along as a student and even had a cute speaking part. She did so great! When I walked out the door my mom said, "That's pretty fancy for a teacher." My reply was: "Well, this is how I would dress if I were a teacher!" I love that my job allows me the opportunity for fun days! How was your Monday? P.S. sorry for wearing the same cardigan two posts in a row...WHOOPS! :)

Non-Fancy Friday!

Well the post title explains how I feel about this little number. Not fancy but sure is comfy, and I'll take that on a Friday. How was your week? Mine went by so fast I don't even know what happened. Between work projects and kids, life is moving at laser speed right now. I am looking forward to relaxing at home tonight, chicken is marinating as we speak. My back patio is awaiting me, and I can't wait! Happy Friday everyone!

It's Wednesday Already?

I don't know what happened to the time this week. I was hoping to do this post on Sunday, and it is now Wednesday!! Our weekend was a blast! My husband and I hit the road early Saturday am and headed to St. Pete for the Rock n' Roll Half Marathon. That evening, he took me out for an early Valentine dinner at Charley's. Amazing! Next morning I ran 13.1 miles in 2:03:17, my best time ever. I was so happy to have my running partner Andrea with me. She did fantastic as well and even beat her goal time. It was freezing cold, windy, and I don't think my toes warmed up until about mile 8. Sunday evening was the Daddy Daughter dance at my K's preschool. Wasn't she just precious? This dress was one of the steals I found at the consignment shop I was telling you about. She was a little princess! Happy middle of the week to you!!!

It's Fine to Consign!

Let me tell you why it's fine to consign, this Free People top! One of my favorite second hand stores is having a moving sale, and I scored this top for 50% off, never worn, and still had the tags on it! I LOVE it! I also scored some fantastic clothes for the kids. I didn't have a CLUE what I was missing before I adopted thrifting and consignment shopping. It's amazing what blessings budget cuts bring. Yes....I just said that! :)

Well, I had to title this carefully as I didn't want to draw too much crazy attention! Fancy pants is my code for no pants, hee hee! Remember the boudoir shoot with Shipra Panosian and Trisha Weinreich I was telling you about? Well, here are some of my photos as promised! It was so much fun to assist them in this. Both Shipra and Trisha are super fabulous and I am blessed to have the opportunity to work with them. A little bit of makeup, a funky hairstyle, Shipra with the camera, and suddenly I had the courage to play the part! :)

What a wonderful week, I was having so much fun I totally neglected my little blog. Hopefully this will catch you up! I was so excited when my husband asked me if I wanted to go along on a business trip to Vegas! He worked a few hours in the mornings at the World of Concrete show while I went sightseeing, shopping, and did a LOT of window shopping. So many beautiful designs at prices I couldn't even dream to afford, BUT still fun to scope out spring trends from the finest designers. From what I saw, orange will be the hot color, and I couldn't be more excited about that! The highlight of the trip was having time away with my husband, not to mention meeting Guy Fieri!! He was great...and so super cool about talking to me and taking a picture, I was giggling like a little girl. Really fun for me as I LOVE his shows on Food Network! To say we had a blast was an understatement. The food was wonderful everywhere we ate, and we even went dancing at TAO at the Venetian....amazing!! Back to the real world now...can't WAIT to go back! Hope you all had an excellent weekend!!!
