St. Augustine was the perfect location to celebrate an anniversary! What a delightfully romantic town with great food, beautiful beaches, and sightseeing. A few of our favorites for food were the Raintree, Saltwater Cowboys, Serenata Beach Club, and La Pentola. We stayed at the Renaissance Marriott, where the service was top notch! Such a friendly staff, they were so sweet to us on our special day!

It was such a blessing to have this time away, I know we needed it. Trying to keep a marriage thriving and children under control has been quite the task for us lately. It is hard work! A weekend away with no distractions was just what the doctor ordered! Now...back to the real world starting with some morning work followed by a play date! Ready...set...go!!!

Marco Island is an amazing place to visit! If you haven't been, you MUST! I came down with my husband for his last trade show of the summer. Luckily, he brought two salesmen, so he and I have been acting like a couple of newelyweds! :) Morning runs, sunsets, dinners, and lots of laughs. We needed this so much! I stopped into Miranda Spa yesterday while he was working for a mani/pedi and it was unbelievable! Best mani/pedi I have had in years! The ladies were super sweet and the spa was beautiful! We had dinner at Aurtoros, AMAZING!!! Beef carpaccio, grouper piccata, and chicken marsala! Topped it off with a canolli and melt in your mouth chocolate lava cake. I will be dreaming about that meal for months! Heading down to the beach now to soak up some Vitamin D, have a FANTASTIC Friday!

We spent the whole day at mom's house and stayed until the last firework blew up in the sky! I love the 4th of July! What a wonderful celebration! A celebration of something that most of us take for granted every day...our freedom! I am so thankful for those who have fought and continue to fight for the freedom that we enjoy daily! I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend! Now....on with the show and back to the summer madness routine! :)

Catching up from my weekend, as we had so much fun there was no time to post! The kids and I joined my husband at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes as he had a convention to attend nearby. We swam in the lazy river, ate excellet food, and had fun with friends. We had the pleasure of eating at Primo, one of the best restaurants ever! Although you may need to take out a second mortgage on your home :) I love places like the JW Marriott, yes you pay, but you also receive nothing less than the best customer service, right down to the turndown service with chocolates and relaxing music. Although who am I kidding, with two toddlers, there was NO relaxing this weekend! :)  Chef Melissa Kelly creates plates with her "home-grown" concept in mind, emphasizing the freshest local ingredients such as citrus and seafood to create imaginative and dazzling recipes.

Fun in the Sun

Ran 5 miles this morning and just ate the calories I burned off at the Bloomin' Arts Festival! I bought some great vintage hankys and 2 beautiful vintage needle point pictures for my bathroom! I smiled when I turned one of them over and it said, "Made for our first home in 1941".  What a beautiful Florida day!
