Three cheers for early release day! 

The morning started with breakfast/brunch with one of my most cherished friends. She also happens to be an amazing cake designer, you have to visit her site, I am so proud of her!! Work was slow, but fine...and then I got to spend the afternoon with some cool kids (pictured above) so fun! Three cheers for early release day!

Birthdays and Barbeques

We took a road trip to Lady Lake on Saturday for weekend fun with the family! It was my brother's and my two little cousins' birthdays! My cousins live on a great piece of property with nothing around-dirt road and all! It was great out there, so peaceful and quiet....well all except for the noise we were making :) I missed the Tim Gunn Blogger Brilliance in Tampa, but skipping it for family was totally worth it! We had a GREAT weekend! Hope you did too! So....I am on final coutdown for my trip to Jamaica with my husband and BFF and her hubby! We leave Thursday! Can't WAIT!!!!! I really should get some packing advice from my Getaway Girl pal, Casey Wohl! Check out her blog for amazing reads of all things travel! She is a blast!

What a FUN weekend! Hub's birthday celebration! Dinner with friends Friday and a party Saturday night...ending with a family birthday party yesterday! Whew! 3 Birthday parties in a row...somebody is loved! :) I love spending time with friends, there is nothing better, and when you add in dinner and dancing....well then, that's just icing on top!

I'm really not old..hee hee, but I do have a 16 year old today! I started really early! :) My Kyle is a sweetie. He has always been a self entertainer and a pleaser. A bit on the lazy side, but who's complaining!! This kid is never in trouble at school, and actually turns in most of his work! Best of all he is kind. He cares about people and I couldn't be more proud of that! I think back to when I had him and how much time has flown by. It brings tears to my eyes. His father and I divorced when he was 5. For a while it was just he, Leanna and I. Living as a single mom for those years taught me so much. Some of my hardest and sweetest days were spent in that small bungalow apartment. But my Kyle was always there with a hug and a smile when I needed it. God has blessed me, and I am so thankful!
