Hubs and I at Ceasars
What a wonderful week, I was having so much fun I totally neglected my little blog. Hopefully this will catch you up! I was so excited when my husband asked me if I wanted to go along on a business trip to Vegas! He worked a few hours in the mornings at the World of Concrete show while I went sightseeing, shopping, and did a LOT of window shopping. So many beautiful designs at prices I couldn't even dream to afford, BUT still fun to scope out spring trends from the finest designers. From what I saw, orange will be the hot color, and I couldn't be more excited about that! The highlight of the trip was having time away with my husband, not to mention meeting Guy Fieri!! He was great...and so super cool about talking to me and taking a picture, I was giggling like a little girl. Really fun for me as I LOVE his shows on Food Network! To say we had a blast was an understatement. The food was wonderful everywhere we ate, and we even went dancing at TAO at the Venetian....amazing!! Back to the real world now...can't WAIT to go back! Hope you all had an excellent weekend!!!

Pop of Color!

Top: Lucky, Skirt: Old?, Shoes: Seychelles, Jewelry Stella & Dot and Banana
Bag: Kate Spade

All you need is a little pop of color to set off a blandish outfit! Today I chose to sport my fabulous new bag, which my husband surprised me with on my birthday. Of coarse this was after he watched me drool over it on the internet! He pays attention and I love that. Well...I'm off to a baby shower and then we are having friends over for dinner. I hope you are enjoying your Saturday! XXOO

Champagne Wishes

Tunic: Banana Republic, Leggings: Calvin Klein, Boots: Steve Madden, Necklace: Francessca's

I don't know why exactly, but this outfit makes me think about champagne! I think it's the silky rose color and the pearl necklace is quite "bubbly'. What is everyone up to this weekend? I plan to finish Hunger Games, attend a very sweet friend's baby shower, run, have dinner with friends, and watch my daughter show her hog in the Polk County Youth Fair! Yee Haw! Happy Friday friends, enjoy every minute of your weekend!

In Honor of my 90th Follower

T-Shirt: Banana Republic, Skirt: Thrifted (Goodwill), Tights: Hue,
Booties: Seychelles, Necklace: Vintage

Watch: Michael Kors
Today I celebrate my 90th follower! I am not quite sure who it was that brought me to this mile marker, but thank you!! It was a little over a year ago that this blog really started happening, and I am so honored that anyone actually follows me. I didn't realize just how fun it would be to blog, share my outfits, take pictures of myself in my sitting room (ha!), and to get inspiration and encouragement from other bloggers. It is a part of my day that I so look forward to. I am blessed that my job provides rare opportunities to dabble in fashion PR which is my ultimate dream, I just live in the wrong city. Well, that...and I am currently swamped raising children! I am so thankful for this blog because it allows me to do something I love whenever I want to....so I thank you for reading, and for commenting, and for following! XXOO

Boudior, Luxury Hotel, and Glamour....OH MY!

It's time for a Photo Shoot at the Waldorf Astoria Orlando!
Rockin' Makeup Artist: Lindsey Kirkland, LuLu Makeup
Nicole Werner our hair stylist! Lindsey still at work,
and me with makeup and my favorite: false lashes...woo hoo!
Yummy room service c/o the Waldorf PR Department! Love them!
When my friend and photo event stylist, Trisha, asked me to help coordinate a boudoir shoot for the amazing photographer Shipra Panosian, how could I say no? Especially having the opportunity to work Shipra AND the Waldorf Astoria in Orlando! They so generously partnered with us and gave us use of a beautiful suite, and took care of us all day even sending up a table full of yummy food! What a BEAUTIFUL resort with a top notch staff! We had 8 brides/wives scheduled for 35 minute shoots throughout the day. I fell in love with our makeup artist Lindsey and hairstylist Nichole Werner! Believe it or not....I was the first shoot of the day, yet another benefit of assisting with coordination! I think my husband will be quite happy with his gift for holding down the fort for me all day. I will have to see just how "sexy" these turn out....maybe I will have a few to share with you soon! :)

I Heart Walgreens

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love living 5 minutes from Walgreens! When I am in a bind, even on Christmas, they are open and ready to help! I love them even more after discovering their fight to negotiate with Express Scripts. Unfortunately, after no success, Walgreens is no longer part of the Express Scripts' pharmacy provider network. Express Scripts themselves stated that their clients will not see any significant savings from excluding Walgreens from their network, but negotiations were still not successful.

Many patients under an Express Scripts plan have used Walgreens pharmacies for years and have personal relationships with their Walgreens pharmacist. Walgreens has made a national effort to make this transition as smooth as possible and is doing all they can to help patients continue to use Walgreens when possible, or take care of them as they are forced to leave in order to use their in-network coverage. Express Scripts wants customers to use their own mail order pharmacy business instead of their community pharmacy whenever possible. This could threaten all community drugstores in your area!

One of Express Scripts' clients is Tricare, which is the health and prescription drug program for America's military service men and women. During negotiations, Walgreens offered Express Scripts an ironclad guarantee that their prices would match or beat the average costs per adjusted prescription of all other pharmacies in the Tricare network. They did this in effort to prevent our county's military personnel from being caught in the middle. Express Scripts continues to refuse to negotiate a separate contract for the benefit of the Tricare program and its beneficiaries.

I am encouraging you to support Walgreens in this fight, by liking them on Facebook and following them on twitter @Walgreens. See links below for more information!

Friday Findings

Top & Skirt: Banana Republic, Bag: Elliot Lucca, Jewelry: Stella & Dot, David Yurman
Booties: Sam Edleman

In love with my new bag!
I always find things when I am not looking for them. Hence my new bag pictured above! Last Call clearance! I have also found I don't check the weather enough, little did I know it would get cooler as the day went on. Glad I grabbed my blazer,  unfortunately after picture time! :) What is everyone doing this weekend? I am headed to J. Burns Pizza tonight and then to see New Year's Eve with my husband. J. Burns has just recently re-opened and was a love during my childhood. I used to work with my dad at his nursery over the summer and he would  take me to lunch at J. Burns. Found memories that I can't WAIT to taste again! My husband was so sweet and called a babysitter himself to arrange this date night. Major deposit in my love bank! I hope you all have a fantastic weekend! XXOO

Running for Missy!

Yesterday, I experienced the reality of breast cancer like never before. My friend Missy had a double mastectomy. Several weeks ago she was diagnosed after a routine mammogram. I have ran for breast cancer before, worn pink during October, and prayed for people affected....but never did it hit home like it did yesterday. As I looked into the eyes of her husband and daughter patiently awaiting a call from the operating room, I felt the depth of this awful disease. I am so happy to report that her surgery went very well and they found NO cancer in her lymph nodes, she will not need chemo!!! To GOD be the glory! Our team (Missy's B's) are running for her on Saturday, and never will a race have ever mean so much to me! I am so proud of her strength and courage!

Weekend Festivities

Saw a hot new play!

Played on the playground at one of the four birthday parties we attended!

Celebrated my dear friend's birthday at a yummy dinner!

Boycotted makeup for the afternoon!
It was a full weekend to say the least! FOUR birthday parties, finally taking down Christmas, and meeting demands of toddlers. I think my favorite part was church today. I LOVE our pastor. He is so real, and I so appreciate his transparency! I left knowing what I will be praying about and improving on in this new year. I am also stuck in a book right now that is AMAZING!!! It is called Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. It is an amazing love story about God's redeeming power, and based on the story of Hosea in the bible. I have to say, it has been very healing for me in the area of forgiveness, (I tend to hold onto things as I have said in the past). A nap followed by a walk with the family topped off the day. Tonight, it's Once Upon a Time!!! I am so HOOKED! :) Wishing you all a fantastic week ahead!

Home Again, Home Again!

Loving my new watch (Michael Kors), hubs did good!

Blazer: Gap, Top & Scarf: Target, Jeans: Old Navy, Boots: Steve Madden

It's great to be home. I am not quite ready for the catch up game. I am still nursing my oldest back to health. He came down with Pneumonia while we are in the mountains! :( Apparently the hillbilly Dr. didn't give him strong enough antibiotics, so we at our pediatrician's office as soon as they opened today! He should be good by the weekend...I pray. We left cold weather and came home to cold weather, but knowing Florida...we could be laying out at the beach by tomorrow. Have a great end to your week!

Snow Day, Vacation Finale!

Hubs bought me these socks for my rainboots, and they have been GREAT!!

Last day of vacation. We head home tomorrow. I am excited to start the new year, but sad to leave this cozy cabin! We have had the best time, I am so thankful for these times together! We are headed to the arts and crafts district now, Alwine Pottery is one of our favorites! Can't wait to see what they are making today!

Happy Birthday New Year!

My birthday breakfast in bed! Made by my girls!

Dinner with friends and family

My love!

My beautiful best friend and I

Traditional New Year's Day Meal for LUCK! It was SO yum!
What a way to end the year every year, with a birthday celebration! It is actually pretty neat to share my b-day with New Year's Eve. You never have to go far to find a party! :) I was so blessed to not only have my family with me, but my best friend and her family too! We had a blast at dinner, and chuckled while watching the table next to us filled with young adults with no children as ours entertained the dining room. One day dinner will be quiet again and I am sure we will be sad!

2011 was a good year. I learned that being a working mom isn't as important as being a mom. I learned that my focus should be on what God wants me to do and not what I want to do. Feeling peace with both of these things leads me to believe that 2012 is going to be even better!
