Beach Weekend

What a FUN weekend! We left the littles with grandma and took the older two. They never really get an opportunity to go on a diaper and "whine" free trip with us. It was GREAT to have this special time with them! I love my kids!!!! I sure hope all of you are having a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! Awkward and Awesome Thursday

Awkward:
-The fact that my 3 year old calls my 2 year old "Dordy," and everyone at the park is staring at me like, "Why would she name her child that?"
-Facebook friend requests from total strangers just because we have one friend in common?
-Paying 100.00 a week for gas.
-Sending a sexy text meant for my husband to a friend by mistake...whoops!

Awesome:
-Our annual Memorial weekend trip to Hutchinson Island with friends beginning tomorrow!
-My mom is keeping the little ones so we may even be able to relax.
-The Nordstrom Memorial Weekend Sale!
-Brownie Mix is bogo this week and I have coupons!

Something Borrowed

This is from an upcoming project that we are doing for our True Style  column. We are starting a Summer 30 for 30 for our readers. Today we spent the afternoon in my back yard until it got WAY too hot. We took 10 of the 30, with me being the "model" ha, as Courtney is expecting a precious baby girl!! We are starting our 30 for 30 on June first, so I will be sharing some of the photos here as well! I find I fall in love with most of Courtney's Closet! You have to check out her blog as she is the most amazing stylist!! This dress belongs to her along with the killer woven belt. I almost cried when I gave it back to her today! Ha! Reuseable Sweetness

I cooked dinner for a sweet friend in honor of her new addition! I keep my empty jam and salsa jars around for fresh flowers! This was an Old Elpaso salsa jar and I LOVE the shape of it. Fill with fresh flowers and tie a bow and there you have it...reusable sweetness!

Picnic

I took a break from the brighter side of spring/summer today. This outfit makes me think of a picnic, which makes me think of camping, which makes me think of roasting marshmallows, which makes me want a smore. Too bad it is too hot here in Florida to go camping! Happy Monday!

Today I started making my comback from the most awful stomach virus. Still nothing appeals to me food wise, so I guess I will take the weight loss advantage that comes along with that and call it a day! I had a fun day today starting with FPRA Polk's Media Boot Camp! It was awesome and we made some great contacts! I even won a book! Yippeeee! I can't wait to post a picture of the giveaway! You still have time to enter!! Sorry for the mildly blurry picture! I have been working with the husband on his picture taking skills, but honestly, the tripod does a much better job! ;) After surviving my daughter's slumber party, we celebrated with date night! Awesome Saturday night church service followed by a  yummy Terrace Grill dinner! Sea bass was incredible! Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!

One Project at a Time!

I have been putting off many projects around the house because the thought of all of them puts me near a breakdown. SO...I told myself I would aim to complete one "home" project a week! I started this week with my bathroom drawers. They were totally unorganized, a complete train wreck. Each loaded with items I don't use, way too many 1/2 empty bottles of lotion, dried up makeup samples, hair products,  etc. So here is the messy proof...of my before and after, and a sneak peak at next week's project! :)

This outfit made me feel bright and happy today! It was 95 degrees outside and miserable...so it's a good thing. Things are finally settling down around here, only to start right back up again this weekend while I host a slumber party for 6 ten year olds for my daughter's birthday! FUN! We will be making mini pizzas, having cupcakes, painting nails, swimming, and watching a movie! I will be sure to keep you posted!

I love the simple detail of this top. I have only worn it once and I was in such a hurry this morning I thought it would be an simple, yet pretty top to style! I was comfortable, and with all of the writing and thinking I have done today....I am GLAD! Now, I am ready for some mindless entertainment! Puzzles with the kids it is!
