Well these girls totally upstaged me this week. So I figured I would share them in their dancing gear, which outdoes my style any day! I was so proud of them last Saturday as they performed in their dance recital!

Now on to Memorial Day weekend, BBQs, sun, fun and family! What are your plans??

Something Old

My Mother's Day gift from my Mother. They were my Grandmother's.

Celebration at the little's preschool!

Sometimes receiving something old, is so much better than something new. For over a year now, I have watched my mother clean out the house that belonged to my Grandparents who have gone on to be with the Lord. She has not been packing up "stuff",  but packing up a lifetime of memories. The things that I see loaded in boxes were once hung in hallways or displayed on shelves for years and years.

My Mother's Day didn't actually go as planned. My daughter was sick, and my husband had to stay home from church with her, then he set the grill on fire WITH our food on it, and he had to be on a plane at 4pm for a presentation this morning. But, even amongst the chaos, when I sat back and watched my kids playing yesterday, I couldn't help but smile. I have so much to be thankful for in this role that God gave me as mom.

Opening the gift from my mother was the highlight of my day. Memories passed down from generation to generation. Reminders of the awesome mother my grandmother was, and the amazing mother that my mom became-what an awesome example they are for me! I hope you all enjoyed your day as mothers and with your mothers! I am feeling blessed!

Back to work and to reality after spending a weekend in Islamorada in the Florida Keys. What a beautiful place to relax and play. Perfect for a wedding and spending time with dear friends and family. As you can see by the pictures, it was hard to leave. How was your weekend?

Something Simple

I needed something simple today after all of my family drama! What is more simple than a plain white tee? Nothing in my opinion! Paired with denim shorts, I just threw on some accessories to jazz up this look! Better days are ahead...and in other positive news, I am caught up on my blog now!  :)

This was yesterday's outfit and post. I have been feeling a little blue. Events over the past week have nearly put me over the edge, but I will push through!

I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me! 

The cliff notes version: 17 y/o got in an expensive car accident, 3 y/o knocked my 4 y/old's  tooth out, 3 y/o puts mulch up his nose and has to have it removed by a doctor, and to top it off, 4 y/o falls on Monday and has to have 3 more teeth removed. She will have to have a bridge in 4 weeks! Ready for a full on mommy meltdown, I am reminded that I have to keep moving forward, and be thankful for the little things. Even when I feel blue!
